Mark Butler's Bio
Hometown: Orlando

Stats: More vertical than horizontal

Hobbies: Paycheck origami

Fondest WLOQ memory: Against company policy, I was eating a Philly cheese steak in the studio while playing an album on a turntable. Yes, I'm old. For some inexplicable reason, I leaned over the turntable with my sandwich and a piece of my sub fell on the album. At this point, time slowed as I watched the chunk-o-meat rotate on the vinyl towards it's inevitable collision with the needle. I didn't eat in the studio after that.

Favorite thing to do with cheese: Creating Mozzarella sculptures of historic figures

Most prized possession: A business card of the great Charles Schultz creator of the “Peanuts” comic strip.

Favorite childhood toy: My younger brothers. I liked to watch them bounce when I dropped them.

Something that scares me: Clowns!!!!

Favorite movies: Shawshank Redemption, Dirty Pretty Things, Pulp Fiction, Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels.

Favorite book: "Fun Things to Do With Lunchmeat" by Cap I. Cola

If you could be anywhere right now, where would it be? Asleep

Favorite quote: "What would men be without women? Scarce, sir, mighty scarce." Mark Twain

What odd jobs have you had? I cracked stone and mixed mud for a stone mason in high school. I thought the experience would make me a better person and teach me discipline. I was wrong.

If you weren’t in radio, you would be…....Rich

Favorite musical artists: Stan Getz, The Beatles, U2 & Miles Davis

Biggest influence in your life: Gravity
